If you’ve recently gone shopping for protein bars, you’re no stranger to the fact that there are about 12,000 different options to choose from. Whether you want something that tastes like candy or you prefer something more savory; you want something keto, or something that’ll fuel your active days; or you’re just looking for something that you can throw in your gym bag and take on the go, the options are endless. But while there’s a plethora of protein bars to choose from, that doesn’t mean they all deserve to be chosen.

In fact, it’s quite the opposite. After recently spending some time in my grocery store’s protein bar aisle and pouring over the labels, I found that most protein bars are actually, well, kind of gross – and I don’t just mean their taste. From filler ingredients to artificial sweeteners, colors, and flavors, most protein bars disguise themselves as “healthy” snacks when they’re anything but.

However, if you’re like me and you’re always on the hunt for an actually healthy, clean bar that packs a significant amount of protein, I’ve got some good news: I’ve found a bar that finally checks all those boxes.

The KiZE Difference

The bar (bars, actually, as they have many flavors), comes from KiZE Concepts, a company founded on the principles of providing clean and nutritious snacks while simultaneously creating a positive impact within the community and world.

The company began when founder Jeff Ragan graduated from college and found himself “unemployed, unfulfilled, and trying to figure out what to do with my life.”

Ragan says that the “struggle eventually became my blessing, as it moved me to three particular passions centered around helping others.” Determined to help people live better, Ragan set off on a quest to develop a “delicious healthy snack alternative that didn’t just taste good, but did good.”

While many companies these days will say they aim to do good, KiZE really lives up to their word. The company does this by feeding the hungry, serving the homeless, providing resources to Haiti, and supporting at-risk youth to change lives for the better.

Good, Clean Bars

KiZE’s commitment to serve the community is honorable, but these bars don’t just do good. They’re also good for you and made with the simplest, cleanest ingredients. If you’re an ingredient purist like me, KiZE’s ingredient list will be music to your ears: each bar is made in-house with only 5-10 ingredients. The short and sweet ingredient list includes nut butter, honey, gluten-free oats, and grass-fed whey protein isolate, with hints of unsweetened coconut, sea salt, and dates making appearances depending on the flavor

KiZE offers bars that are gluten-free, vegan, non-GMO, and keto, making them suitable for anyone with dietary restrictions.

Each bar packs between 6-10 grams of clean protein per serving and makes an ideal snack whether you’re wrapping up a training session at the gym or heading out to hit the trails for the day. Oh, and did I mention they taste insane? With all those processed, artificial ingredients out there, you might think real, simple ingredients can’t taste good, but KiZE proves that protein bars don’t need to be filled with junk to taste (and do) good.
