Whether you’re trying to lose weight, gain muscle, or just want to be more conscious of what you’re eating, there’s a good chance you’re limiting sugary foods. And while cutting out treats like cookies, cakes, and brownies is great for your health, it can be a real struggle (and honestly really sad) – especially if you have a sweet tooth like I do. Because of this, I’m always on the hunt for healthier versions of my favorite treats, and I was thrilled when I heard about 321Glo’s new Protein+ Cookies.

These not-so-guilty pleasures contain 15 grams of protein, 4 grams of collagen, and less than 9 grams of carbs. With three tasty flavors, these nutritionist-designed cookies honestly sounded too good to be true – so I had to try them for myself.

Chocolate Chip Protein+ Cookie

Who doesn’t love a classic chocolate chip cookie? This twist on the traditional favorite is loaded with chocolate chips, but light on the sugar. I love that these are soft and chewy, as well. I’m not a huge fan of a hard, crunchy style cookie, so that scored these big points in my book. I also loved that they’re gluten-free. The individual packages don’t mention this, but 321Glo’s website assured me they are, which is a huge bonus. While I ate the whole cookie before I could give it a try, I’m sure these would make a truly decadent treat if you popped them in the microwave for a few seconds.

Peanut Butter Protein+ Cookie

As a peanut butter addict, I quickly fell in love with this cookie. I appreciated that it’s soft, chewy, and super flavorful like its chocolate chip counterpart. The cookie itself tastes just like creamy peanut butter, and the peanut butter chips mixed in add a little something extra. It’s sweet enough to replace a sugary dessert, but it’s not overpowering. I could easily eat this for a mid-morning snack or before a workout without feeling like I’m drowning in sugar – a common complaint I have with some dessert-style protein bars.

Snickerdoodle Protein+ Cookie

Out of the three, this was probably my favorite cookie. The cinnamon and graham combination was the perfect mixture of sweetness and spice. I could definitely see this cookie becoming a post-dinner snack to kick those late-night sugar cravings, or breakfast with my morning tea. I love that these cookies have some substance to them, as well. There are so many “healthy” treats out there that are just straight carbs, so having 15 grams of protein was a welcome change.

Overall, I thought all three of 321Glo’s new Protein+ Cookies were delicious. Obviously, they’re not going to taste like freshly baked gooey cookies straight out of the oven, but they do a great job of offering up a guilt-free treat that’ll satisfy any sweet tooth.

I love that they’re macro-balanced, too. There are a ton of choices out there that claim to be healthy, but they’re really just “cleaner” options with 40+ grams of carbs. I appreciate that these cookies still taste great while keeping the carbs low and the protein high.

If cookies aren’t your thing, but you still want to kick those cravings with a healthier option, 321Glo also makes collagen brownies and protein nut butter, so you’re sure to find something that’ll become your new guilt-free pleasure.
